I am a trained and licensed psychotherapist in the United States and have received two Master’s, one in Mental Health Counseling and another in Sociology. I have over 18 years experience and I am currently licensed in their respective US National Boards as a LPC, Licensed Professional Counselor, an LCAS, Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialists. Additionally, I am US certified in Clinical Hypnotherapy, EMDR, TRM and Trauma Informed Yoga for Mental Health. I have had training in Mindfulness, Mind/Body Approaches to increase and regulate functioning and other Mind/Body psychotherapy modalities. I have recently completed a Postgrad in Dance and Movement Therapy at UAB and in December I will complete a Master's in EMDR and Psychotherapy with UNED. In my practice, I not only utilize traditional psychotherapy approaches but I rely mostly on wholistic and integrative therapeutic approaches essential to the improvement and regulation of functioning. I have had extensive training in the field of mental health and have treated clients across a wide spectrum of dysfunction. I specialize in issues related to trauma, grief, loss, depression, anxiety, transitions related to Expat life experiences and work only with adults and couples. Online sessions are available if you're traveling out of Barcelona.
In addition to the rigorous academic training and practices which I have dedicated my life throughout the last 18 years, I have enjoyed participating in many other practices which inspired, imparted wisdom and wellness. I began learning and practicing systems of Meditation, Yoga, Dance and Sound Therapy since the age of 19 and which have since then, through multiple studies and evidence based practices, become deeply integrated into the field of psychology. My approach to therapy is holistic and comprehensive based not only on all that I have learned through my own life's experiences, but on continued love for professional training and study.
Currently, I live in Barcelona and I am enjoying the creation of a healing, therapeutically supportive space and practice where some of this knowledge, modalities and approaches can be shared and communicated in an individual and effective manner. As an expat myself, I look forward to helping you navigate and discover effective ways to manage the challenges inherent in relocation, endings and new beginnings through holistic therapeutic interventions.
